The IAF has four committees that focus on innovation, sizes, logistics, global social responsibility, health and safety, environmental conditions, education and training and the collection, restoration and conservation of historical or antique apparel and textiles artifacts. The committees discuss and present actual developments in their respective domains. They also offer input for the events IAF organizes yearly, such as the IAF World Apparel Convention and the IAF Regional Seminars.
The committees meet at least twice a year in combination with the meetings of the IAF Board. These meetings are open to all members and associate members.
