The role of the Technical Committee is to identify Technology areas that are of importance globally. Best practices are documented and presented to the IAF membership. Current topics include Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), RFID, 3D Fit and Sizing, Digital Fabric Coloration, e-Commerce, and Cloud Computing.
Each technical area relies on subject matter experts to keep IAF members up to date on the latest developments and to organize projects that provide opportunities for collaboration and implementation direction. Each area also has a focus on Sustainability and the reduction of waste in the supply chain. When appropriate, the Technical Committee will also drive the development of standards for the application and implementation of key technology systems.
