IAF World Apparel Convention
IAF annually organizes the World Apparel Convention where people from all over the world meet to discuss actual developments in the apparel chain. In the past, the IAF World Apparel Convention has been held in cities such as Barcelona, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Milan, San Francisco, Berlin, Thessaloniki, Taipei, Maastricht, New Delhi and Hong Kong.
At all events organized by IAF, members benefit from lower participation fees than non-members.
The IAF has successfully rounded off the 28th IAF World Apparel Convention, which was held in Oporto, Portugal. IAF member association Associacão Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal (ATP) is the co-organizer of this event.
29th IAF World Apparel Convention to be held in Nanjing, China
At the closing ceremony of the IAF World Apparel Convention held this year in Oporto, Portugal, IAF Secretary General Han Bekke announced that the next convention will be held in Nanjing, China on 23 – 29 September 2013. The theme for next year’s convention will be How to Create Value in the Global Fashion Supply Chain.
The convention will be organized jointly by IAF and member association China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT). The purpose of CCCT is to represent the interests of textile industry and its members and to promote the sustainable development of China’s textile and clothing trade. The 2013 Nanjing International Consumer Goods Expo and China Imported Consumer Goods Fair will be held simultaneously to the IAF World Apparel Convention.
