Stay ahead of competition and join the IAF World Apparel Convention 2012 in Oporto!

The IAF World Apparel Convention 2012 is more than simply a gathering of delegates in a suitable venue with the right facilities. It is about knowledge, communication, interaction, meeting people, getting to know each other, and forming business relationships. Therefore, IAF believes that a successful convention has two essential factors: the quality of accommodation and surroundings that are rich in culture. Oporto gives you the right feeling!

Oporto is the second largest city of Portugal. It is the country´s industrial capital and centre of its fashion cluster. It is known worldwide for its harmonious mixture of tradition and rich gastronomy and famous Port wine, with unexpected modernity well stated by author´s architecture and bold designs such as “Casa da Música” or the “Modern Art Museum of Serralves”. Its exclusive clubs and restaurants have also been distinguished by international awards.

Recently, the prestigious magazine “Wallpaper” placed Oporto among the 5 world’s best cities to visit, based on criteria like architecture, cultural and artistic offer and local life style, which are strong attraction factors for visitors coming from the corners of the globe.

We recommend a visit to the city´s official website which is highly suggestive and will reinforce the urge to travel to the city that proudly and hospitably will welcome the 28th International Apparel Convention on September 24 – 28, 2012.
