Amsterdam 2002
Fashion: networks of I-dentity and I-technology
In 2002 the fashion business has become a global network business. Those players that are able to master their network and so create added value for their clients are the winners in fashion. Fashion is an emotional business as it must create the right identity for its wearers. Fashion is also high tech. Linking the network requires state of the art information technology and first class knowledge. But also an exciting new array of possibilities for new uses of textiles lies at our doorstep. The conference will therefore firstly focus on technology ranging from mass customisation to technical textiles. But secondly it will not ignore the other big driver behind the industry, the 'I-dentity' or the 'power of seduction' of brands, stores, retail concepts and designs.
